
Ben Riche Signs with Warriors

Moose Jaw Warriors General Manager Alan Millar has announced that 2020 drafted forward Ben Riche (2005) has committed to the Warriors and the Western Hockey League with the signing of a Standard Player Agreement.
"We are very excited to announce the signing of forward Ben Riche to a WHL Standard Player Agreement.ÃÂ Ben brings speed, competitiveness, and character to our hockey club," commented General Manager Alan Millar.ÃÂ "We are pleased that Ben and his parents Troy and Manuela have chosen the Moose Jaw Warriors and the WHL to pursue his hockey and academic goals."
Riche (LC), 5'9", 155lbs, is from Bethune, Saskatchewan and was selected in the 2nd round, 33rd overall, at the 2020 WHL Bantam Draft.ÃÂ Playing last season with the Prairie Storm (SBAAL), Riche had 34 goals, 37 assists, and 71 points in 29 games.ÃÂ In the 2019 Playoffs for the Prairie Storm, he had six goals, two assists, and eight points.
"Ben brings a lot of speed to our draft class.ÃÂ He's a strong, powerful skater and plays a 200-foot game.ÃÂ He shoots the puck hard and will contribute offence.ÃÂ He was the Captain of his team, showing leadership and competitiveness," said Assistant General Manager Jason Ripplinger.
In 2018 - 2019, Riche played for the Prairie Storm (SBAAL) and had 26 goals, 12 assists, and 38 points in 31 games.
