
Bella Bixby, Sophia Smith Named to U.S. Women's National Team Roster for Friendlies against Uzbekistan

PORTLAND, Ore. - Portland Thorns FC announced today that goalkeeper Bella Bixby and forward Sophia Smith have been named to the 23-player U.S. Women's National Team roster for a pair of friendlies against Uzbekistan on April 9 and April 12.
Bixby was called into her first camp in November 2021 and has yet to earn a cap. Smith (13 caps) played for the USWNT in the SheBelieves Cup in February, starting all three matches and helping the U.S. claim the title.
The April 9 match will take place at Lower.com Field in Columbus, Ohio; kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. (Pacific) on FOX. The match on April 12 will be held at Subaru Park in Philadelphia, Penn. with a kickoff time of 4 p.m. (Pacific) on ESPN2.
