CHI: Vanessa Dibernardo scored the lone goal for the Red Stars against the Kansas City Current who edged out Chicago for the win.

LOU: Two goals, one from Kirsten Davis and one from Jessica McDonald, weren't enough as Racing Louisville FC fell to the Houston Dash 3-2.

Storylines

Central Division Showdown: Wednesday marks the Red Stars' third match in the Challenge Cup. The club currently stands in second place with three points and a 1-1-0 record, the club's best Challenge Cup start since its inception. Louisville enters the match looking for the club's first win in the Challenge Cup, and currently sitting in last place in the central division.

She's One of Our Own: Vanessa DiBernardo scored her first Challenge Cup goal last game against Kansas City. DiBernardo is the only player in Challenge Cup history with at least one goal (1), 10+ chances created (10) and 20+ tackles won (26).

A Challenge Cup First: The Red Stars and Racing Louisville will face off for the first time in NWSL Challenge Cup history. Wednesday's game will be the first of two for Chicago and Louisville with the next matchup April 16, at Lynn Family Stadium.
