Bees to Pack the Park Pink on Saturday, May 4

SALT LAKE CITY (May 2, 2013) - The Salt Lake Bees, Papa John's, Huntsman Cancer Foundation and Swing for Life have teamed up to host the seventh annual Pack the Park Pink Night at Spring Mobile Ballpark on Saturday, May 4. The Bees will wear black jerseys with pink lettering and sleeves in support of breast cancer awareness when the team takes on the Tucson Padres at 6:35 p.m.

The Bees will donate $1 to the Huntsman Cancer Foundation for every May 4 ticket sold at slbees.com. Fans attending the game are encouraged to show their support by wearing pink while the first 2,000 fans in attendance will receive a pink t-shirt. Gates open at 5:35 p.m.

A "Buy It Now" auction for the player-worn jerseys and other team memorabilia will be held during the game with proceeds benefiting HCF. The auction will begin when the gates open at 5:35 p.m. and items will be available for purchase on a first-come first-served basis. Jersey buyers will have the opportunity to meet Bees players on the field following the game to take photographs and receive the player-autographed jerseys.

In partnership with Swing for Life, the Bees will also have available for purchase pink t-shirts, pink candy, and pink mini-bats with all proceeds benefiting HCF.

A fireworks show will begin shortly after the conclusion of the game.
