Bees Set For Home Opener Tomorrow Night

Salt Lake City (April 15, 2010) - After opening the Pacific Coast League season on the road, the Salt Lake Bees return to Spring Mobile Ballpark to host the Tacoma Rainiers tomorrow, Friday, April 16 at 6:35 p.m. in the team's 2010 home opener.

The Bees are set for the 17th home opener in franchise history, having won seven of the last nine openers at Spring Mobile Ballpark. Scheduled to start on the mound Friday is right-hander Tommy Mendoza, a 22-year-old top pitching prospect in the Angels organization.

Friday's game also begins the 2010 Bees promotional schedule with a postgame fireworks show and magnetic schedule giveaway courtesy of Papa John's. On Friday and Saturday, the Zero Fatalities Postgame Kids Run will take place, while Sunday 2-for-1 tickets are available at Good Neighbor Pharmacy. Monday night is once again Harmons Family Night.

The Salt Lake Bees opening homestand begins with the Tacoma Rainiers on April 16-19 and ends with the Las Vegas 51s on April 20-23. Tickets are still available by calling (801) 325-BASE or by visiting slbees.com.
