Bees Ranked in Top 25 in 2012 MiLB Merchandise Sales

SALT LAKE CITY - Minor League Baseball™ and its national Licensing Program announced today that the Salt Lake Bees ranked in the Top 25 in 2012 licensed merchandise sales. The program is comprised of 160 clubs in the domestic-based leagues and rankings are based on wholesale sales reported from January 1 to December 31, 2012.

Fanzz, the official team store of the Salt Lake Bees, operates as the top-selling Bees brand provider with merchandise available at the Spring Mobile Ballpark store, select Salt Lake City locations and online at fanzz.com.

In addition, MiLB announced that its national Licensing Program generated an estimated 54 million dollars in sales of licensed merchandise in 2012, the third largest overall figure since the program began in 1991. The figure also represents a 3.3 percent increase from 2011.

The 2012 Top 25 is as follows (listed alphabetically): Albuquerque Isotopes; Carolina Mudcats; Columbus Clippers; Corpus Christi Hooks; Durham Bulls; Fort Wayne TinCaps; Greensboro Grasshoppers; Indianapolis Indians; Lake Elsinore Storm; Lakewood BlueClaws; Lehigh Valley IronPigs; Midland Rockhounds, Pawtucket Red Sox; Pensacola Blue Wahoos; Portland Sea Dogs; Reno Aces; Richmond Flying Squirrels; Rochester Red Wings; Round Rock Express; Sacramento River Cats; Salt Lake Bees; Savannah Sand Gnats; Toledo Mud Hens; Trenton Thunder; and Wisconsin Timber Rattlers.

The Bees are in action tonight as the team takes on the Memphis Redbirds at 6:35 p.m. at Spring Mobile Ballpark.
