Bees Fall to Isotopes; Travel to Las Vegas for Next Series

The Salt Lake Bees closed out their six game series in Albuquerque with a 5-2 loss to the Isotopes on Tuesday night. The Bees fell behind 1-0 in the first and then Albuquerque broke it open with four runs in the third inning. Salt Lake would break through in the sixth, as Matt Thaiss led off with a single and Michael Stefanic followed with his eighth home run of the season. The Bees would manage just one hit the rest of the way, as the Isotopes take five out of six in the series.

Starter Felix Pena (3-3) took the loss, as he went three innings and allowed five runs on six hits. The Bees' bullpen was outstanding, as A.J. Ramos, Andrew Wantz and Tyler Danish combined to throw five scoreless innings with eleven strikeouts.
