Omaha Beef News Release
Omaha, Nebraska - The Omaha Beef of the United Indoor Football Association is pleased to announce the signing of Linfield College Linebacker Brandon Olson. Olson joins the Omaha Beef after a stand out career with the Wildcats.
"Brandon is a pretty special football player and we are thrilled to have him join the Beef family," stated Head Coach Robert Fuller. "Brandon has played in some big games at Linfield including two straight NCAA National Championships so he knows how to compete and win."
Olson has been the spearhead of a defense that helped Linfield College claim its sixth straight North West Conference Championship and back-to-back appearances in the NCAA Division III National Championship game. The Wildcats won the 2004 NCAA Division III National Championship and were narrowly defeated on a late TD in 2005.
Olson, from Wilsonville, OR, was a two-time 1st team All NWC selection at Linebacker and was named the NWC Defensive Player of the Year as a senior. Olson also earned 1st team All Northwest Region honors and was named to the D3football.com All American team.
Olson recently graduated from Linfield with a degree in Business. Olson will earn his first start this weekend as the Omaha Beef take on the Bloomington Extreme in Bloomington, IL.
