Peoria's disappointing season continues, as they were shutout last week by Sioux Falls 71-0. That game marked the first shutout in UIF history. The Rough Riders managed just 47 yards of total offense vs. the Storm. On a positive note, Peoria has recorded the third most sacks in the league with 18 and wide receiver Phil Taylor Jr. is tied for eighth in the UIF in touchdowns with 10. Evansville defeated Fort Wayne last week and will need to rattle off a few more victories if the BlueCats want to make the playoffs. Evansville is currently in eighth place in the UIF and is one game out of a tie for the sixth and final playoff spot. The BlueCats defense is allowing the third least yards per game with 200.4 and Evansville is allowing the least rushing yards per game with 56.9. Quarterback Aaron Leak is playing better as he is completing 52% of his passes and has thrown 11 touchdowns to go along with eight interceptions this season. Dale Jennings is having an outstanding season as well as he has gained 910 all-purpose yards and scored 17 touchdowns this season.
