Bears Take on Leafs Tonight in Newfoundland
October 15, 2003 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Hershey Bears News Release
As far east as they can be in North America, the BEARS kick off a two game series tonight with the St. John's Maple Leafs at Mile One Stadium in St. John's. The Leafs enter the game at 1-1-0-0, while HERSHEY tied at Syracuse 4-4 Saturday night in the club's only game of the year. It's the home opener for St. John's tonight at Mile One Stadium, and a sellout crowd is expected. The BEARS play Wednesday night and Thursday in Newfoundland before coming back to central PA for the 2003-04 home opener Saturday night against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers. Face-off Saturday is at 7:00 p.m.
Air time Wednesday and Thursday from St. John's is 5:45 p.m. with the pre-game show on BIG 92.7 FM. John Walton calls the action from Mile One Stadium.
