Bears stunned by Admirals 4-3 Saturday

A tremendous rally by the Norfolk Admirals stunned a sellout crowd at GIANT Center Saturday night as BEARS dropped a 4-3 decision. The loss sends the BEARS into the All-Star break with a 29-9-4-5 record.

Chris Bourque got the game started in HERSHEY'S favor, scoring his 12th goal of the season at 16:57 of the first period. The goal from Chad Wiseman and Quintin Laing gave the BEARS a 1-0 lead after one. HERSHEY fired seven shots at Admirals goaltender Corey Crawford, while Nolan Schaefer stopped all four shots he faced.

Into the second period, Norfolk found a way to tie the game at the 9:53 mark. Jonas Nordqvist scored his 12th goal of the season from Craig MacDonald to knot the score at 1-1. HERSHEY scored the next two before second intermission with Jakub Klepis and Bourque's second of the night. Klepis scored at 10:21 before Bourque got his second of the night at 15:06. HERSHEY carried a 3-1 lead into the third period, but it would not last.

Norfolk scored three unanswered goals in the third period to win its 33rd game of the season. Carl Corazzini scored just eight seconds into the third period to cut the HERSHEY lead to 3-2. Martin St. Pierre tied the game with his 17th goal of the season at 7:04 before Dustin Byfuglien scored the game-winning goal at 10:17. By virtue of the victory, Norfolk became the first team in the AHL to reach the 70-point plateau.
