Bears beat Norfolk to stay alive 3-1
April 10, 2004 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Hershey Bears News Release
4/10/2004 10:37:00 PM - Chris Bala scored a pair of goals to lead HERSHEY to a 3-1 victory over Norfolk Saturday night. The BEARS need to win Sunday to get in the 2004 Calder Cup playoffs, but a win will vault Paul Fixter's team into fourth place and home ice for the qualifying round of the postseason. Steve Brule added an empty net goal late in the third period, and Phil Sauve made 33 saves to earn his third victory this season in a BEARS uniform.
Binghamton and Norfolk both finished the regular season Saturday, while the BEARS and Philadelphia Phantoms will close out the 2003-04 season at GIANT Center Sunday. Face-off is at 5:00 p.m., with tickets still available at the GIANT Center box office, or by calling (717) 534-3911.
