The HERSHEY BEARS Hockey Club extended its winning streak to nine games in a row Sunday against the Norfolk Admirals. Sunday's win followed victories over Binghamton, Albany and Philadelphia to open the week. The winning streak is the longest for HERSHEY since March, 2002.

The BEARS host Hartford this Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. and the Norfolk Admirals Sunday at 5:00 p.m. Tickets are on sale now at the GIANT Center box office, or by calling (717) 534-3911.

Making history: HERSHEY'S 9-0 win over the Philadelphia Phantoms Saturday night marked the worst defeat the Phantoms had ever experienced. It was the second time in November that the BEARS dealt a 9-0 loss to an East Division rival. Binghamton suffered the same outcome on November 16 at GIANT Center.

Amadio a star on Saturday: Defenseman Greg Amadio, who had scored just three goals in 226 AHL games entering play Saturday night, scored twice and was named the game's number one star. Amadio's second goal of the night came short-handed, the first such goal scored by HERSHEY this season.

The Century Club: Darren Reid's goal in the second period Saturday against Philadelphia was the 100th scored by HERSHEY this season.

Don't call it a comeback: Entering play this Saturday night, the BEARS are a perfect 13-0-0- 0 when leading after two periods in 2008-09. In addition, HERSHEY is 11-1-0-0 this season when leading after just one period.

Upcoming promotions:WGAL / Belco Community Credit Union Teddy Bear Toss is this Saturday when the BEARS take on the Hartford Wolf Pack. Fans are encouraged to toss Teddy Bears on the ice when the Bears score their first goal , with all Teddy Bears will be donated to charity. The United States Marine Corps Reserves Toys for Tots Drive is also this Saturday. Fans are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy to benefit the 2008 Toys for Tots Drive.

Washington update-The Capitals are home Tuesday night, hosting the Florida Panthers at 7:00 p.m. The New York Islanders invade Verizon Center Thursday at 7:00 before the Caps head to Toronto to play the Maple Leafs. Bruce Boudreau and company will wrap up a busy week in Carolina Sunday against the Hurricanes.
