
Amerks Players In The Community This Week

Rochester Americans News Release
(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Americans will begin a busy week of appearances in the Rochester area tonight. The Power Play Radio Show begins at 6:30 PM at the Winton Rd. Distillery (3010 Winton Rd.). Guests to be on the show are Randall Gelech, who recently joined the team from the Grand Rapids Griffins, and goaltender David Shantz. The players will discuss topics on the team and their recent arrivals to Rochester.
The Amerks Reading Power Play will also continue this week with three readings to take place. Tonight will feature David Brine at the Greece Public Library (2 Vince Tofany Boulevard) who will read to listeners, answer questions, dress up one lucky participant and sign autographs. The following night, the Amerks will be at be at the Penfield Public Library (1985 Baird Rd.) at 6:45 p.m. and on Wednesday, December 3rd, Tanner Glass and The Moose will stop by the Ogden Farmers Library (269 Ogden Center Road, Spencerport) at 7:00p.m.
On Tuesday, players will donate time and ring bells for the Salvation Army at the Eastview Mall from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tanner Glass of the Amerks, John Grant and Joe Walters of the Rochester Knighthawks, and Jackie and Cristina of the American Spirit and Knightingales dance teams will appear in support of the cause.
Jason Garrison will appear at the Original Charbroil House on Wednesday, December 3rd for the third Pucks and Plates at 6:00 p.m. Garrison will be on hand to have dinner with those in an attendance and will be available to meet with fans and to sign autographs.
