WESTERN FRONTIER

The Wolves rank first in the West Division with 28 points (13-7-1-1) this season, two points in front of Rockford and Iowa. Starting with Wednesday's game against Peoria, Chicago will battle West Division foes in 11 straight
contests.

WOLVES HEADLINES

--- BRETT STERLING: Registered five goals, five assists and 20 penalty minutes in 11 games since being assigned by Atlanta on Nov. 7 ... Ranks fourth on the team with 10 points and shares the team lead with two game-winning goals ... Tallied eight points (4G, 4A) during a season-high four-game point streak from Nov. 22 to Nov. 29 ... Recorded a goal in three NHL games with the Thrashers this season

--- STEVE MARTINS: Leads the team with nine assists and ranks second with 12 points in 18 games this season ... Posted nine points (2G, 7A) during a team season-high seven-game point streak from Nov. 15 to Nov. 29 ... Tied the second longest assist streak in the AHL this season by dishing out a helper in seven straight games (Nov. 15 to Nov. 29) ... Ranks ninth in franchise history with 118 career assists in 225 matchups as a member of the Wolves

--- JOE MOTZKO: Ranks first on the team with 10 goals and 16 points in 22 games this season ... Paces the club with four power-play markers and shares fourth with six assists ... Ranked third on the Wolves and 14th in the AHL with a career-high 70 points in 72 games last season

--- MATT ANDERSON: Ranks second on the club with eight assists and third with 11 points in 18 games this season ... Tied for second on the squad with a +10 plus minus rating ... Collected two points (G, A) in 14 regular-season outings with the Wolves last year

WOLF TRACKS

--- The Wolves have held their opponents to 49 goals through 22 outings this season (2.23 per game), which ranks second in the American Hockey League and includes allowing two or fewer goals in 14 contests.

--- Fourteen of Chicago's 22 games this season have been decided by one goal, including each of the last three; the Wolves have posted a 7-5-1-1 record in matchups decided by one tally.

--- Chicago has held opponents without a man-advantage marker in two straight games and has given up three power-play goals in the last five contests after surrendering nine in the previous five matchups; the Wolves rank 11th in the league with an 84.4 percent efficiency rating on the penalty kill (108 of 128).

--- Playing in their third game in three days, the Wolves mustered 29 shots on goal but were handed their first shutout of the season, 1-0, by the Grand Rapids Griffins at the Allstate Arena Sunday night.
--- Goaltender ROBERT GHERSON posted 28 saves on 29 shots in the loss.

Sat., Nov. 29
(at) Chicago 4, Quad City 3 (OT)
--- The Wolves squandered a 3-0 third period lead before BRETT STERLING scored 1:18 into overtime to give them a 4-3 win over the Quad City Flames at the Allstate Arena Saturday night.
--- STERLING paced the team with three points (2G, A), while right wing JEFF HAMILTON and center RILEY HOLZAPFEL also potted goals.
--- Goaltender ROBERT GHERSON made 32 saves, which includes holding the Flames scoreless for the first 54:42.

Fri., Nov. 28
(at) Grand Rapids 3, Chicago 2
--- Chicago rallied from an early two-goal deficit, but a short-handed goal set them back for good on the way to a 3-2 loss to the Grand Rapids Griffins at Van Andel Arena Friday night.
--- Forwards BRETT STERLING and GRANT STEPHENSON dented the net for the Wolves.
--- Goaltender DAN TURPLE turned aside 24 of 27 shots in the loss.

Tue., Nov. 25
Manchester 7, (at) Chicago 2
--- The Wolves fell into a two-goal hole seven minutes into the game and couldn't climb out, suffering a 7-2 loss to the Manchester Monarchs at the Allstate Arena Tuesday night.
--- Forwards JOE MOTZKO and COLIN STUART scored for Chicago.
--- Goaltenders DAN TURPLE (16 saves) and ROBERT GHERSON (11 saves) split duty in TURPLE's loss.
