Wisconsin Herd News Release

OSHKOSH, Wis. - The Erie BayHawks (13-12) came out victorious in a back-and-forth battle against the Wisconsin Herd (4-21) at Menominee Nation Arena on Wednesday afternoon for the Herd's School Day Matinee.

The game saw 23 lead changes before Erie ultimately claimed the 137-132 road victory.

The first half was all Wisconsin, as the Herd entered the break with a 72-63 lead off the back of Vander Blue's 16-point half. The BayHawks came out hot in the second half, converting their shots at a 63.0 percent clip. Their strong shooting translated to a 38-point third quarter and a 103-101 lead heading into the final frame.

The Herd held a four-point lead with 3:12 left, but by the 2-minute mark, the BayHawks tied the game at 129. Wisconsin had a pair of turnovers near the final minute of the game, which Erie turned into a four-point lead. A Bonzie Colson three-pointer brought the Herd within a point of the BayHawks, but a five-second violation turnover followed by a Wisconsin foul sent Erie's Tyler Dorsey to the line, who sealed Erie's win by hitting both free throws.

Erie was led by the double-double effort of guard Tyler Dorsey, who turned in 36 points and grabbed a team-high 13 rebounds. The BayHawks also got a highlight performance off the bench from Terrence Jones, who tallied 28 points to go with seven boards in 27 minutes of action.

Jones, who went 12-of-17 from the field, was a key contributor in Erie's solid shooting performance. The BayHawks converted 56.0 percent of their shots overall as a team.

Wisconsin had six players score in double figures in what was their highest offensive output of the season. Bonzie Colson finished with 18 points and eight rebounds off the bench in his Herd debut, while center Shevon Thompson had his third straight double-double with 21 points and 13 rebounds.

Both teams take the court again on Friday. Wisconsin will face off against the Lakeland Magic at home, while Erie heads to the Windy City to take on the Bulls.
