
Bats Clinch First Series Victory in Rochester Since 2007, 3-2

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The Louisville Bats clinched a series victory in Rochester for the first time since 2007 wit ha 3-2 win over the Red Wings on Saturday night at Frontier Field.
Seth Mejias-Brean's ninth double of the season got the Bats first run of the game in the second inning. The next batter, Mejias-Brean was sent home on a Raffy Lopez single giving the Bats a 2-0 lead.
The Red Wings cut the Bats lead in the fourth inning and later tied it in the fifth with a Kennys Vargas homer.
Louisville right-hander Jon Moscot (4-3, 5.36) earned the win as he threw six innings, gave up two runs on six hits, walked five and struck out two. Moscot threw 96 pitches, 57 for strikes.
In the sixth, Steve Selsky doubled for the second time of the night and a team-high 17th time this season. The Bats grabbed hold of the lead again when Mejias-Brean singled in Selsky to put the Bats up 3-2.
Red Wings starter, left-hander Andrew Albers (6-2, 3.48), threw five and two-third innings and gave up three runs on 10 hits and took the loss.
The Bats bullpen amended for this weeks struggles by throwing three scoreless innings. In his third Triple-A appearance, right-hander Nick Routt accounted for two perfect innings and lefty Wandy Peralta closed out the win, earning his second save.
The Bats and Red Wings will meet for the final time of the regular season tomorrow afternoon with a 1:35 p.m. first pitch. Righty Robert Stephenson (4-4, 3.88) will go for the Bats and Lefty Jason Wheeler (6-1, 2.49) will take the mound for the Red Wings.
