The Baton Rouge Zydeco proudly announce their groundbreaking achievement in the Federal Prospects Hockey League (FPHL). In their inaugural season, the Zydeco have soared to unprecedented heights, capturing the hearts and enthusiasm of fans across the region.
With great excitement, the Baton Rouge Zydeco reveal a staggering total season attendance of 110,816, firmly securing their position as the attendance champions of the FPHL. Wayne Hodes, General Manager of the Raising Cane's River Center Arena, who was the driving force behind bringing professional hockey to Baton Rouge echoed Lewis's sentiments, stating, "The Baton Rouge Zydeco's inaugural season has been nothing short of phenomenal. We are proud to have played a part in hosting such exciting hockey action at the Raising Cane's River Center Arena and look forward to more thrilling seasons ahead."
Hodes also noted that according to an economic impact analysis performed by Visit Baton Rouge, the Baton Rouge Zydeco brought an astounding $8.1 million to the city during their inaugural season.
In a historic achievement, the Baton Rouge Zydeco are among the first two teams this year to eclipse the 100,000 attendance mark in the history of the FPHL. Additionally, they hold the #1 attendance mark for a season in league history.
The Baton Rouge Zydeco's remarkable accomplishment sets a new standard for success in the FPHL and underscores the team's commitment to excellence both on and off the ice. As they celebrate this historic achievement, the Zydeco eagerly anticipate building upon this momentum in the seasons to come.
