Fort Wayne, IN - RHP Anthony Bass took a perfect game into the 6th inning as he led the Fort Wayne TinCaps to a 7-0 blanking of the South Bend Silver Hawks, Sunday at Parkview Field. Fort Wayne scored all seven runs in an explosive 6th-inning rally. The win finished a four-game series sweep.

Bass and Silver Hawks LHP Taylor Sinclair were locked in a pitcher's duel through the game's middle stages. In the top of the 6th, Alberto Diaz lined a leadoff single to right field to break up Bass's perfect game. He was balked to second and bunted to third with just one out. Bass worked out of the jam, inducing a groundout and a lineout to end the inning unscathed.

The TinCaps got to Sinclair in the 6th. Adam Zornes worked a leadoff walk and Robert Lara dumped a single to right. Kevin Hansen followed with a base-hit bunt to load the bases with nobody out. Tekotte steped in and delivered a two-run single to right to put the TinCaps in the lead. After a fielder's choice, Daniel Robertson plated a run with a sacrifice fly to make it 3-0. Justin Baum drew a walk and Yefri Carvajal nailed a twoout RBI single to left to push it to a 4-0 margin. Two more runs scored on a misplayed single by Zornes and Lara's second hit of the inning drove in the final run to make it 7-0.

RHP Alexis Lara delivered a scoreless 8th inning and RHP Nick Schumacher struck out the side in the 9th to complete the shutout.

In all, Bass (7-3) fired seven scoreless innings, faced just one batter over the minimum and struck out six. He lowered his league-best ERA to 1.95. Sinclair absorbed the loss to fall to 2-3.

The TinCaps improved to 49-25 overall, 4-0 in the second half. They are now 15-1 against the Silver Hawks this season. South Bend dropped to 27-45, 0-4 in the half.

The TinCaps have Monday off. They travel to Dayton, OH to take on the Dragons (Class-A Cincinnati Reds) in a four-game series beginning Tuesday at 7:00pm. Fort Wayne LHP Mike Watt (2-1) gets the starting nod against Dragons RHP J.C. Sulbaran (2-1
