Barons To Host 'Petrol-Palooza' Gas Giveaway

BIRMINGHAM, AL - With gas prices climbing ever higher, the Birmingham Barons have partnered with NAPA Auto Parts to give away free fuel to a lucky fan, and also offer ticket prices that will be identical to gas prices for one night later this month.
In anticipation of the July 4th holiday, one of the busiest travel weekends of the year, the Barons will host a âPetrol-Palooza' gas giveaway night on Monday, June 25th at Regions Park. During the 8th inning of their game against the Jacksonville Suns, the Barons will award a $250 gas card to one lucky fan in the stadium.
In addition to the gas card giveaway, the Barons will offer tickets to that night's game at a special rate. All Barons' general admission tickets, purchased at the Regions Park box office beginning at 5:30pm that evening, will be sold for the price of a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline (as of 10:00am, June 25th). All Regions Park regular box seats will be sold for the price of a gallon of premium unleaded gasoline. Currently these prices are between $2.90 and $3.50.
"The Barons are proud to partner with NAPA Auto Parts in hosting this unique and affordable promotion on June 25th," said Barons' General Manager Jonathan Nelson. "We all feel the impact of gas prices, and we hope folks can come out, enjoy the game, and have the chance to win free gas. To borrow a gas station term, we hope to âFill it up'."
