Barons to host hockey talk show

CLEVELAND - Cleveland Barons President Michael T. Lehr announced today the club will be hosting a two-hour radio broadcast on Monday, October 3rd from 7-9pm on WEOL 930-AM. The show will be broadcast live from Buffalo Wild Wings in Elyria, Ohio.

The "Voice of the Barons" Jamie Smock will serve as co-host, along with WEOL sports personalities Rob Polinsky and Bob Tomaszewski, for a two-hour hockey focused radio program on Monday, October 3rd from 7pm to 9pm. The show, part of WEOL's "Matia Monday Night Sports Spotlight", will broadcast live from Buffalo Wild Wings at 239 Midway Mall Boulevard in Elyria, Ohio. Fans are invited to join the Barons as they talk about hockey of all levels in Northeast Ohio.

Expected guests on the show include, Lehr; Barons Assistant Coach, David Cunniff; the radio voice of the Columbus Blue Jackets, George Matthews; Dave Pheil, Head Coach of the Elyria Catholic Panthers; Mike Glover, Head Coach of the Avon Lake Shoremen; and Barons defenseman and 03-04 AHL All-Rookie Team Member, Garrett Stafford. Throughout the show, both on-air and at Buffalo Wild Wings, the Barons will be giving away merchandise and tickets for the Barons home opening game on Saturday, October 8th.

The Barons will open their 2005-06 Regular Season schedule on the National City Rink located in Quicken Loans Arena on Saturday, October 8th against the Rochester Americans at 7:05pm. Tickets for the game are on sale now at the Quicken Loans Arena Box Office and through all ticketmaster locations.
