Barons Recall Pitton from Stockton

Oklahoma City - The Oklahoma City Barons of the American Hockey League recalled goaltender Bryan Pitton from the Stockton Thunder of the ECHL, Barons general manager Bill Scott announced today.

Pitton, a 6-3, 205-pounder from Mississauga, Ontario is in his fifth stint with the Barons this season. In four previous stays in Oklahoma City, he has appeared in five games, posting a 3-1-0 mark, 2.53 goals against average and .918 saves percentage. He has played the majority of the season in Stockton, the ECHL affiliate of the Oilers. With Stockton, Pitton has an 18-10-2 record, 2.90 goals against average and .901 saves percentage.

Goaltender Martin Gerber left the Barons game March 16 against Grand Rapids with an upper body injury. He accompanied the team from Grand Rapids to their hotel in Chicago and is listed as day-to-day.

Oklahoma City resumes its road trip tomorrow night against the Rockford Icehogs at 7 p.m. The weekend concludes with two games against the Chicago Wolves. Saturday's game starts at 7 p.m., while Sunday's game starts at 3 p.m. The games will be heard on either AM 1000 KTOK or 96.1 FM KXY pending the Oklahoma State University men's basketball team schedule.
