Iowa Barnstormers News Release
DES MOINES - The locally-owned Iowa Barnstormers today unveiled their new on-line home launching theiowabarnstormers.com as the official website of central Iowa's arena football club.
The new theiowabarnstomers.com is scheduled for launch at approximately 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Friday, February 22.
"Our fans deserve a first class website, and I am confident our site will be the class of arena football," said Jeff Lamberti, Barnstormers President and leader of the central Iowa-based ownership group. "The site will be the source for Barnstormers information twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, and will feature interactive fan opportunities, video features, and much more."
The Barnstormers have partnered with DWebware, an Urbandale-based full-service Internet firm, to power and host theiowabarnstormers.com. "This partnership is consistent with our core business philosophy of doing business with fellow Iowans," said Matt Strawn, member of the local ownership group. "Keeping our business here in central Iowa is top priority."
Lamberti and Strawn also announced that season ticket sales continue to exceed expectations as numerous seating areas are now sold out with still over a month until the kick-off of the Barnstormers' 2008 season.
"The community has stepped up in a big way and it is clear that Iowans are fired up about the return of the Barnstormers and arena football to Des Moines," said Lamberti.
The team announced that the complete inventory of season tickets available for the Field Turf Section is completely sold out, while only a handful of seats remain in the Gridiron Seat Section. The Field Turf seats are comprised of the front row, while the Gridiron seats are rows two through five. Additionally, in the popular Sideline Prime section, the entire Sections of 104 and 115 are completely sold out, while only a few seats remain in Sideline Prime Sections 103 and 105.
The Iowa Barnstormers open the 2008 season on the road March 29 in Louisville, while the team's home opener is Monday, April 14 against visiting Lexington. Season tickets start as low as $80 and can be ordered at www.theiowabarnstormers.com or (515) 633-BALL.
