Firecats Add Six Players To The 2008 Roster

Estero, FL - The Florida Firecats arenafootball2 team announced the additions of six players to their 2008 training camp roster today, including former South Georgia Wildcats DB Greg Golden. The Firecats will open camp on Friday, March 14th.
DB Greg Golden - 5-10, 189, North Carolina State; In 2007 he played for the South Georgia Wildcats, finishing 5th on the team with 36.5 tackles and four interceptions. He spent 2006 with the Memphis Xplorers and finished 6th on the team with 31 tackles. Finished his collegiate career with three interceptions and 78 total tackles for the Wolfpack.
DB Terrell Lemon - 5-10, 200, Syracuse; Attended the N.Y. Jets training camp in 2007. Saw action in 44 games for Syracuse, finishing his career with 72 tackles and two interceptions. Named to the Sporting News All-BIG EAST freshman team in 2003. The Miami native was part of Carol City High's 2002 state championship 100-meter relay team.
WR/LB John Cousins - 6-3, 240, University of Southern California; Played for the Tennessee valley Vipers in 2007. Finished second on the team with 66.5 tackles. He also recovered four fumbles returning three for touchdowns. He appeared in 12 games while at USC collecting 28 tackles. He was a 1999 Super Prep JUCO 100 pick as a linebacker in 1999 at West Los Angeles California Junior College.
WR/DB Tarrance Rhodes - 6-3, 200, Missouri Valley College; In 2007 he played for an indoor football team in Lakeland, Florida and won the league championship. Tarrence was named first team all-conference at Missouri Valley College his senior year. He recorded 105 tackles, three Interceptions, three Touchdown's and two Forced Fumbles. During the Firecats open tryout on November 3rd the Crystal River, Florida ran a 4.29 40-yard dash.
WR Anthony Rozier - 6-2, 185, Graceland University; Was a member of the Firecats 2007 practice squad. He spent part 2006 with the Bossier-Shreveport Battlewings appearing in 7 games catching 31 passes for 298 yards and 6 TD's. Rozier played for an indoor football team in Mississippi in 2005. He was a 2004 1st Team All HAAC selection finishing 2nd in the nation (NAIA) in yards per catch 23.8 and 14th in scoring finding the endzone 12 times on just 35 receptions.
WR/DB Alex Bernadotte - 6-3, 214, Miles College; Bernadotte is entering his rookie season in the af2. In 2005 he played for an indoor football team in Daytona Beach, Florida.

***The Florida Firecats will host their Final Free Agent Open tryout at Estero High School Saturday March 1st. A $75 cash only registration fee is due the day of the tryout.
The tryout is open to all players and positions. Players will be required to participate in a Pro-Style combine outdoors on natural grass.
