Spokane Shock News Release

The Spokane Shock announced today that QB Nick Davila has been assigned to its 2008 roster.

Davila, 6'3" 208, spent his collegiate career at the University of Cincinnati (2005 - 2006) and Chaffey Junior College where he was a two-time 1st Team Junior College All-American. In his two seasons at Chaffey, Davila combined for 46 touchdowns and 5, 774 yards. As a Bearcat, Davila passed for 1,401 yards and eight touchdowns in only nine career games. His career highlight included an upset of the seventh-ranked and previously undefeated Rutgers University 30-11, in which he threw for 277 yards and was awarded the BIG EAST offensive Player of the Week.

"Nick's production in Junior College and his work ethic and the University of Cincinnati leads us to believe that he will compete for the starting job," Head Coach Adam Shackleford said. "With this addition, we have three extremely capable Quarterbacks coming into training camp."

The Shock will open up training camp on March 8th and will conclude with a exhibition game in Yakima, against the Amarillo Dusters on March 20th. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased by contacting TicketsWest.

The Spokane Shock kick off the 2008 season on March 30th at Green Bay before hosting Stockton on April 5th in the home opener on Spokane Tribe Field at the Spokane Arena. Season tickets are on sale now and can be purchased by calling the Shock at 242-7462.
