Bandits name Troy Cordingley assistant general manager

BUFFALO, N.Y. (August 29, 2006) --- Buffalo Bandits Director of Lacrosse Operations Dave Zygaj today announced that Troy Cordingley is the team's new assistant general manager. Zygaj also announced that Cordingley has re-signed with the team to remain in his current role as assistant coach.

"Troy is well respected by our players and throughout the league," said Zygaj. "We're thrilled that he'll remain with the organization, and take on added responsibilities for the upcoming season."

Cordingley has worked alongside Bandits head coach Darris Kilgour since 2003, helping lead the team to four playoff berths and two appearances in the National Lacrosse League championship game.

As a player, Cordingley won MILL championships with the Bandits in 1993 and 1996. The Brampton, Ont.-native currently ranks fourth on the team's all-time points list. In seven seasons (1993-1999) with the team he recorded 255 points on 98 goals and 137 assists.

The Bandits will open the 2007 regular season at Portland on December 30.
