Edmonton Rush News Release

EDMONTON, AB-The National Lacrosse League announced its 2007 Regular Season Schedule today and in accordingly the Rush has announced their schedule for the 2007 NLL Season.

The season home opener for the Rush will bring the long time NLL Philadelphia Wings to Rexall Place on Saturday, January 6, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. It will be a first for the Wings to travel so far west to compete in the NLL.

The balance of the schedule sees the Rush at home for the first three weekends with its first road trip on Saturday, February 3 in Colorado to compete against the league's current NLL Champions, the Colorado Mammoth.

The last half of the schedule may prove tough for the second year franchise team beginning Sunday, March 25 until Friday, April 13. The Rush will hit the road for five consecutive weekends.

"The schedule is great, we get to continue to play against our rivals in Calgary and Toronto and play Philadelphia at home to start the season. I am very excited about heading east to play New York and Chicago." states General Manager/Head Coach Paul Day.

The Rush take first advantage against their provincial rivals, the Calgary Roughnecks, by visiting their building only once during the season while the Roughnecks will play twice at Rexall Place.

The Rush also have an advantage in the schedule when they play against the two expansion teams, the Chicago Shamrox and New York (yet to be named).

President Duane Vienneau is very excited about the Rush's 2007 season schedule. "The opportunity to play Calgary twice at home, to have Toronto return to play one game at Rexall Place, and the back to back weekends against both Colorado and Arizona adds fuel to the fire for both the team and the fans."

He is confident that the schedule ensures that both the team and the fans have a second full season of action packed professional lacrosse at Rexall Place.

Today's announcement of the 2007 NLL Regular Season Schedule will give the Rush an opportunity to finalize the details for the broadcasting schedule. Last year, Rogers Sportsnet broadcast seven of the Rush's games.

In addition, last year all sixteen games were broadcast live on the local radio station The Team 1260 and the Rush are pleased to announce that The Team 1260 will continue to broadcast live for the 2007 season.

The Rush invite all fans to join them at Rexall Place on Saturday, September 9th and Sunday, September 10th for their Annual Select A Seat Event. The full schedule of events for Select A Seat is available at www.edmontonrush.com. The days' events will include player autographs, Crush Dance Tryouts, Slush Mascot Tryouts and many more fun-filled activities for all fans to enjoy.
