BUFFALO, N.Y. (August 6, 2010) - Buffalo Bandits Director of Lacrosse Operations Scott Loffler today announced the team has acquired the rights to forward Brenden Thenhaus and Boston's first round pick in the 2011 NLL Entry Draft, in exchange for Buffalo's first-round selection (sixth overall) in the dispersal draft of Orlando Titans players that took place earlier today.

Thenhaus (8/5/1986, 6'2", 210 lbs.) was fourth in scoring with the Blazers last season, collecting 35 points (17+18) and 69 loose balls in 11 games. The 23-year-old from Burlington, Ont., was originally drafted by the Bandits in the third round of the 2006 Entry Draft. He has since totaled 102 points (49+53) and 165 loose balls in 41 career games with Buffalo, Edmonton, Philadelphia and Boston. He is currently playing Major Series Lacrosse with Six Nations, and is among the league leaders with 38 points (20+18) in 16 games.

The Bandits took a pair of forwards in today's dispersal draft. Jesse Guerin was selected in the second round (16th overall), while Matt Brown was picked in the third round (26th overall). The Bandits passed on their remaining selections in the five-round draft.
