Bananas Squish Raiders 6-1, Remain Undefeated
January 20, 2023 - Western Hockey League (WHL)
Saskatoon Blades News Release
BANANA SUPREME: The Saskatoon Bananas (28-9-3-1) remain the only undefeated team in WHL history, beating the Prince Albert Raiders 6-1 at SaskTel Centre!
EXTRA POTASSIUM: Forward Misha Volotovskii recorded his first career two-goal game for goals two and three on the season. The Calgary, AB. product is up to 4 points on the season, and was finally rewarded for his constant hard work.
BACK TO NORMAL: Bananas netminder Ethan Chadwick helped the Banana City Bunch turning aside 17 of 18 shots for his 13th win of the season. It was a bit of a bumpy stretch for the hometown kid, but he seems to be coming back to top form.
NEXT GAME: The Bananas head north tomorrow for a rematch at the Art Hauser Centre against the Raiders.
Puck drop is 7:00pm.
