AUSTIN, Texas - Justin Holiday had 20 points on 8-of-15 shooting and Carlon Brown added 16 and five rebounds, but the Idaho Stampede lost to the Austin Toros 104-94. Idaho (6-17) shot 40.2 percent from the field and committed 23 turnovers.
Eight Toros (13-10) players had nine or more points, including Tre Kelley, who had 21 points. Cory Joseph, on assignment from the San Antonio Spurs, had 19 points and six assists while Rick Jackson had 12 points and 11 rebounds. JaMychal Green added 12 points and 10 rebounds off the bench.
Every starter for the Stampede had at least three turnovers, other than Brown, and the Toros scored 22 points off the Idaho miscues. The Stampede fell behind by as many as 21 and never led after they took a one-point advantage early in the second quarter. Idaho got back into the game late, coming to within five points, thanks to their defense which held the Toros to just 2-of-16 shooting in the final stanza. Veteran Jason Ellis led the team with eight rebounds in just over 13 minutes of play.
