Bakersfield Drops One to Idaho

BOISE, Idaho, February 16, 2011 - The Bakersfield Jam (21-13) lost to the Idaho Stampede (14-19) 102-113 on the road Wednesday night.

The Stampede shot 50.0 percent from the field and collected 53 rebounds in the win. Idaho held the Jam to just 38.6 percent (17-of-44) shooting in the second half, as the home team won the last two quarters 60-51. Armon Johnson scored a game-high 27 points on 12-of-20 shooting, while Antoine Walker delivered with 21 points, eight rebounds and two blocks and Sean Banks contributed 19 points and five rebounds.

Jeremy Wise led Bakersfield with 25 points, while Willie Warren (eight rebounds, six assists) and Brandon Wallace (7-8 FG) each had 18 points off the bench. Bakersfield made 12-of-27 (44.4 percent) three-pointers, but committed 15 turnovers that led to 26 Stampede points.

Tonight's game was the first of three games in a row at Idaho. Bakersfield returns to Qwest Arena after the All-Star break on Feb. 25 and 26 at 6 p.m. PST.
