Back-to-School Weekend at the Baseball Grounds

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Suns return to the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville on Thursday, July 31 for a four-game homestand against the Chattanooga lookouts that will feature a back-to-school giveaway all weekend along with a number of other special events.

All weekend, students will receive a FREE Back-to-School Notebook, courtesy of the MPS Group and WB17. Thursday's game is at 7:05 p.m. and is also MPS Group Employees Night at the ballpark. Bring the kids out to see Michigan J. Frog from WB17!

On Friday, August 1 at 7:05pm, the all students will again receive a free MPS Group Notebook. Also, the Suns will welcome fans on the field after the game to enjoy Gospel on the Grounds, as Nashville recording artists The Crabb Family perform a post-game gospel concert on the outfield grass. After the concert, fans will be treated to Friday Family Fireworks, courtesy of NAPA Auto Parts and your local NAPA Autocare Center Dealers.

In addition to the notebook giveaway, the Suns will hold the team's annual Used Car Giveaway Night on Saturday, sponsored by Autotrader.com and WQIK. A number of Suns fans will win a great used car during the game! Participating dealers include Arlington Toyota, Easy Auto Sales, Adesa Jacksonville, Coggin and Jerry Hamm Chevrolet. Prior to Saturday night's 7:05 Suns game, Pedro and the Setting Suns will take on Boomer and the Hitkickers from WQIK in a grudge softball match at the Baseball Grounds.

The Suns close out the four-game series against Chattanooga on Sunday at 6:05 with Library Night. Students will receive the back-to-school notebook and fans can get in the gates for just 50 cents by showing their library card at the ticket window. One lucky boy and girl will win a new bike just for reading books during their summer vacation! Also on Sunday, kids get to run the bases, courtesy of Peter Piper's Pickles.
