The Somerset Patriots were defeated by the Hartford Yard Goats by a score of 10-9 on Wednesday night at Dunkin' Park in Hartford, Connecticut.

The Patriots had three separate leads in the game (4-0, 7-5 and 9-7), but allowed a season-high 16 hits in their second straight loss. In the final three innings of the game, Hartford scored seven runs on eight hits, including three home runs.

Offensively, Somerset's 14 hits tied a season-high for the third time this season. Every Patriots batter from 4-9 in the order secured multiple hits.

RHP Blane Abeyta (5.1 IP, 8 H, 3 ER, 1 BB, 5 K) started for Somerset and did not factor into a decision.

SS Trey Sweeney (1-for-5, 2 RBI, R, 2B, BB, 2 K) secured his third straight multi-RBI game with a bases loaded double that gave the Patriots a 7-5 lead in the 8th

CF Elijah Dunham (2-for-5, 3 R, 3 SB) tied two career-highs in the game with three runs scored and three stolen bases.

Dunham stole three bases in a game for the fourth time in his career and second time this season (last on June 18, 2023 @ Rochester in Triple-A). He scored three runs for the first time this season and fifth time in his career (last on September 7, 2022 @ Hartford).

RF Jeisson Rosario (3-for-5, R, 2B) registered a season-high three hits for the second time this season (last on April 23 vs. New Hampshire).

With the performance, Rosario extended his on-base streak to a season-best 14 games. During the streak, Rosario is 16-for-51, slashing .314/.426/.471 with 7 RBI, 10 R, 5 2B and 10 BB.

DH Ben Rice (2-for-5, 2 RBI, R) picked up two hits in his Double-A debut. Rice's first hit tied the game at 5-5 in the eighth inning for Somerset. His second hit gave the Patriots an 8-7 lead one inning later in the top of the ninth.

1B T.J. Rumfield (2-for-4, 2 RBI) picked up two hits for the second straight game and fourth time in his last five games. In five games since the All-Star break, Rumfield is 7-for-18 (.389/.522/.556) with 4 RBI, 2 R, 3 2B and 4 BB.
