BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Binghamton Senators pushed its win streak to four straight with a 5-3 win over the visiting Adirondack Flames on Teddy Bear Toss Night. Matt Puempel led the B-Sens offensively with two goals and an assist while Chris Driedger earned his second victory in as many appearances this season stopping 24 of 27 shots faced.

Adirondack opened the scoring 11:05 into the first period when Patrick Sieloff beat Driedger over the glove hand for his first of the season. Binghamton drew the score even less than three minutes later on Fredrik Claesson's first of the year sending teddy bears onto the home ice. The B-Sens managed to take a 2-1 lead into the first intermission on Puempel's first of the night. Puempel skated up the right side of the ice beating his defender before flipping the puck past Thiessen for his sixth of the year.

The Flames tied the game 2-2 just past the 12 minute mark of the middle frame off Bryce Van Brabant's first of two goals. Buddy Robinson regained the lead for Binghamton with less than four minutes to play in the second. Derek Grant intercepted an Adirondack pass and found a streaking Robinson who made one move and backhanded the puck past Thiessen for his third of the year. Van Brabant once again evened the score when he beat Driedger with less than 30 seconds to play in the period making it 3-3. Binghamton was awarded a late power-play opportunity when Corey Potter was whistled for interference with just 10 seconds left in the second. With just 2.5 seconds showing on the clock, Puempel sent a laser to the back of the net to give the hosts a 4-3 advantage heading into the final period of regulation.

Binghamton controlled the puck for the majority of the third holding the Flames to just eight shots on goal over the final 20 minutes of play. Danny Hobbs made it a 5-3 lead at the 10 minute mark of the frame and the B-Sens held on for its sixth win in its past seven games.

Thiessen finished with 25 saves on 30 shots faced in the losing effort.

Binghamton finishes up its three-game weekend tomorrow afternoon in Hartford in a 3:00p.m. faceoff against the Wolf Pack.
