Anaheim Recalls Rakell, Reassigns Clark

NORFOLK, Va. - The Anaheim Ducks announce today that the National Hockey League (NHL) club recalls center Rickard Rakell from the Norfolk Admirals of the American Hockey League (AHL). The Ducks also announce defenseman Mat Clark is reassigned to Norfolk.

Rakell, 21, has three assists for the Ducks in 17 games this season. In two games with the Admirals, the 6-foot-1, 192-pounder has a goal and three assists for four points. Over a young 39-game career, the second-year forward has seven total NHL points, all seven being helpers. Rakell has 15 goals and 26 assists for 41 points in 48 career AHL contests.

Clark, 24, collected an assist with six penalty minutes and a plus-2 on-ice rating in seven games with Anaheim this season since his call-up in early November. He has two assists and 21 penalty minutes in 11 games for the Admirals this year. The Colorado native scored four goals and 38 assists in 248 career AHL games thus far.
