Binghamton Senators News Release
BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Binghamton Senators have announced today that they will offer fans a special, limited time opportunity to get on the ice at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena.
For any fan purchasing a season ticket package of five games or higher, they will have the opportunity to take part in the B-Sens' "Nooners" program.
As part of the Nooners program, every Friday that the B-Sens have a home game, from 12 to 1 p.m., season ticket holders will be able to take advantage of an hour of open ice time at the arena. The Nooners program will consist of ten sessions, beginning this Friday, Nov. 20.
"This program was designed for our season ticket holders as a way for them to get a feel for the game. After speaking with some of our most avid fans, I found that some of them had never been on the ice or even touched a puck. I wanted to bring that experience to life for them," explained Nate Newborn, New business development executive for the B-Sens and creator of the Nooners program.
"A program like this gives a person as chance to step into the player's skates and feel what it is like to be down there. Sometimes our players stay a bit longer on the ice to work on shots or stick handling. How exciting would it be for a season ticket holder to say, 'I skated with a Binghamton Senator at lunch today.'? Spots have been filling up quickly and I foresee needing to put a cap on it due to the positive response."
Space in the program is limited and offered on a first come, first serve basis. For ticket package information or to purchase tickets, interested fans are encourage to contact Nate Newborn in the Binghamton Senators' executive office at (607) 722-SENS.
