B-Sens Complete Weekend Sweep

HARTFORD, C.T. - The Binghamton Senators pushed their win-streak to four straight games with a 6-2 win in Hartford over the Wolf Pack. 11 different skaters registered points for Binghamton with Robinson and Schneider tallying a goal and an assist.

The B-Sens jumped out to an early 1-0 lead when Cole Schneider received a centering feed from Eric O'Dell and lifted the puck over a sprawling Magnus Hellberg for his 17th goal of the year just 2:06 into the first period. Jayson Megna evened the score with a power-play goal with just over seven minutes to play in the frame to send the teams to the first intermission knotted 1-1 despite the Wolf Pack outshooting Binghamton 18-8.

The B-Sens tallied three goals over the final 9:30 of the third period to increase their lead to 4-1. Zack Stortini redirected home a shot from Conor Allen on the power play for his seventh strike of the year to make it 2-1. Buddy Robinson netted his 12th strike of the year with less than four minutes to play before Ben Harpur made it a three-goal contest with his first professional goal with just over two minutes to play in the second. The B-Sens outshot the Wolf Pack 9-8 over the middle frame to take their three-goal cushion into the final intermission break.

Chris McCarthy cut Binghamton's lead to 4-2 3:10 into the third with his sixth goal of the season, but that was as close as the hosts would get. The B-Sens outshot their hosts 13-12 over the final period adding an empty-net goal from Ryan Rupert with 1:36 to play in regulation before Travis Ewanyk completed a wrap-around attempt with just over 30 seconds left to push the final score to 6-2.

Matt O'Connor earned the victory stopping 36 of 38 shots faced while Hellberg allowed five goals on 29 shots in the losing effort.

The Binghamton Senators head to Toronto on Wednesday, February 24, for an 11:00a.m. matchup with the Marlies before facing off with the Crunch in Syracuse on Friday, February 26, at 7:00p.m. The B-Sens return home Sunday, February 28, when they host the Crunch at 5:05p.m. Fans can purchase tickets by calling the B-Sens Executive Office Monday-Friday from 9:00a.m. - 5:30p.m. Fans can also purchase tickets through the Arena Box Office and all Ticketmaster outlets during normal business hours by visiting www.ticketmaster.com or at 1-800-745-3000.
