B-Mets game washed away Sunday
July 26, 2009 - Eastern League (EL1)
Binghamton Rumble Ponies News Release
The final game of a scheduled three-game series at Erie was cancelled due to torrential rain and field conditions Sunday afternoon at Jerry Uht Park. The contest will not be made up as the season series between the teams is over. The SeaWolves took six of the nine meetings with Binghamton.
It is the second cancellation of the year for Binghamton (38-61). The B-Mets had a doubleheader with Trenton rained out June 20 at NYSEG Stadium forcing the postponement of one game and the cancellation of the other.
The seven-game road trip continues for Binghamton tomorrow at Blair County Ballpark in Altoona, PA versus the Curve. The B-Mets will send RHP Dylan Owen (3-6, 5.55) to the hill and Altoona will throw RHP Michael Crotta (4-6, 5.12). The first pitch is scheduled for 7:05
