LAST GAME: Aviators Beat Miners 5-4 to Sweep Series and Win Ninth Straight

The Rockford Aviators (9-0) continued their impressive start to the 2015 Frontier League baseball season by defeating the Southern Illinois Miners 5-4 Sunday at Rent One Park in Marion, IL. The win completed a three game sweep over the Miners (5-4) and extended Rockford's season opening winning streak to nine consecutive games.

Starter Kyle Allen posted the win for the Aviators by allowing just three runs in six innings with three walks and one strikeout. Four relievers combined to help Rockford hang on to the win after the Aviators had built up a 5-0 advantage by the third frame.

Michael Schaub recorded his third save by retiring three of the four batters he faced in the ninth inning, including a strikeout of Sako Chapjian with the tying run on base to end the contest. Ryan Breen sparked the Rockford offense with a two run homer, while Dusty Robinson added a pair of RBI singles.
