Austin Toros Lose to Rival RGV Vipers

Austin, TX - The Austin Toros fell to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers 108 - 118 Friday evening at Cedar Park Center. RGV's Andrew Goudelock led all scorers with 30 points and three assists.
The Vipers (7-7) had six players finish in double-figures. Terrence Jones finished with 20 points, five rebounds while Tim Ohlbrecht and Toure' Murry each finished with double-doubles on the night with 18 points, 14 rebounds and 10 points, 10 rebounds respectively. Christopher Johnson contributed 13 points, five steals and five rebounds, and Vernon Macklin scored 11 points, seven rebounds off the bench.
Spurs assignee Cory Joseph led the Toros with 26 points, six rebounds and 4 assists. Jamarr Sanders added 18 points and Rick Jackson contributed another double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Spurs assignee Nando De Colo contributed 15 points, nine assists and six rebounds. JaMychal Green rounded off the Toros with 16 points, three rebounds off the bench.
The Toros (7-9) head to Reno, Nevada for the NBA D-League Showcase to take on the Santa Cruz Warriors Tuesday January 8th at noon. Austin returns home Sunday January 13th to face the Texas Legends at 5pm.
