D-Fenders Acquire Ronald Dupree

EL SEGUNDO - The Los Angeles D-Fenders have acquired forward Ronald Dupree, it was announced today.

Dupree, a 6'7", 210-pound forward out of Louisiana State University, most recently was a member of the Memphis Grizzlies during the 2012-13 NBA preseason after playing internationally with Andrea Costa Imola Basket (Italy) last season. A six-year veteran of the NBA, Dupree has appeared in 157 career regular season games for Toronto, Seattle, Detroit, Minnesota and Chicago, averaging 3.5 points (555 total points) and 2.2 rebounds (339 total rebounds) in 11.2 minutes.

In addition, Dupree, an All-SEC Second Team selection following his junior and senior seasons (2002, 2003) at LSU, has played in 106 career NBA Development League games since turning pro. The Biloxi, Mississippi native has suited up for Utah, Tulsa and Huntsville (now Canton) since 2003, averaging 16.7 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 33.6 minutes. During his NBA D-League career, Dupree has earned NBA D-League All-Defensive Second Team honors (2011), All-NBA D-League Honorable Mention (2011), All-NBA D-League Third Team honors (2009) and an NBA D-League All-Star Game selection (2009).

Dupree will be available when the D-Fenders take on the Sioux Falls Skyforce (NBA Affiliates: Miami, Minnesota, Orlando, Philadelphia) tomorrow, January 5th at Toyota Sports Center.
