Austin Strand & Charles Williams Join Reign

ONTARIO, CA - The Ontario Reign, proud AHL affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, have made a pair of roster moves. Los Angeles has reassigned defenseman Austin Strand from the ECHL's Manchester Monarchs to Ontario, while the Reign have signed goaltender Charles Williams to a PTO.

The 21-year-old Strand (born Feb. 17, 1997) is a 6-4, 216-pound native of Calgary, AB. Strand, who was originally assigned to Manchester on October 18, made his professional debut with the Monarchs later that month and collected two points (1-1-2) from six games played in the ECHL. Strand originally signed an entry-level contract with the Kings last season

The 26-year-old Williams (born Mar. 12, 1992) is a 5-10, 193-pound native of Canton, Michigan. Williams has appeared in two AHL games during his career, both of which came with the Hartford Wolf Pack last season. The second-year pro has also skated in 52 games with Manchester, posting a 29-14-3 record with a 2.73 goals against average and a .909 save percentage.

Additionally, the Reign have released goaltender Evan Buitenhuis from his PTO.
