ORLANDO, Fla. - The Austin Spurs defeated the Memphis Hustle in their first game of the season by a final score of 119-111. Austin ended the game on a 22-4 run to seal the victory.
San Antonio Spurs assignees Luka Samanic and Tre Jones each recorded a double-double. Samanic posted 20 points, 17 rebounds and 6 assists, while Jones tallied 18 points, 16 assists, 4 rebounds and 2 steals.
Sacramento Kings flex-assignee Robert Woodard II notched a team-high 25 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists for the Spurs.
Memphis was led by Tyrell Terry, who recorded 19 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists. Shaq Buchanan (18 points, 12 rebounds) and Freddie Gillespie (14 points, 10 rebounds) each put up a double-double for the Hustle.
