ORLANDO - The Salt Lake City Stars, the official NBA G League affiliate of the Utah Jazz, fell to the Erie BayHawks 117-98 in their first game of the NBA G League single-site campus at Walt Disney World Resort.

Milwaukee Bucks assignment player Jordan Nwora came off the bench to lead the Stars in scoring with 26 points while adding four rebounds. Yogi Ferrell scored 22 points and led the Stars with six assists. Jazz assignment player Udoka Azubuike scored eight points and grabbed 11 rebounds with two blocked shots in his NBA G League debut before leaving the game in the fourth quarter with an injury.

Eight BayHawks players scored in double figures, including all five starters, to lead a balanced effort. Will Magnay led Erie with 15 points while Jalen Adams and Jarrod Uthoff each scored 14. Adams recorded a near triple-double grabbing nine rebounds and dishing seven assists.

The two teams traded leads for much of the first quarter before Erie launched a 25-9 run to take a 37-21 advantage at the end of the first period. Salt Lake City mounted several comebacks, closing the lead to as little as four near the end of the first half, but were unable to complete a comeback.

Salt Lake City will play its second game in Orlando tomorrow against the OKC Blue (Oklahoma City Thunder affiliate). The game tips off at 9:30 a.m. (MT) and is available to be streamed on ESPN+.
