Austin FC News Release
Seattle, WASHINGTON - Austin FC fell in a 3-0 defeat to Seattle Sounders FC on Saturday night at Lumen Field.
Seattle opened the scoring after 12 minutes. Nicolas Lodeiro feigned a shot before passing to Raul Ruidiaz, who finished from close range. Ruidiaz then completed a quick counterattack to double his tally and the Sounders' lead in the 34th-minute.
The Verde & Black began to control more of the ball and the chances to start the second half, but an unfortunate deflection off Ruben Gabrielsen gave Seattle a three-goal cushion in the 68th-minute to put the result out of reach.
