Austin FC Announces 2023 MLS Regular Season Schedule

Austin, TEXAS -Austin FC announced on Tuesday the full 34-match schedule for its 2023 Major League Soccer (MLS) regular season. Austin will kick off its third season with back-to-back home matches at Q2 Stadium against 2023 MLS expansion club St. Louis CITY SC and last year's Eastern Conference runners-up CF Montréal on Saturday, February 25 and Saturday, March 4 respectively. ATXFC's first road match of 2023 will see the Verde & Black take on Real Salt Lake on Saturday, March 11 at American First Field in Sandy, Utah.

2023 Opponents

Austin FC's schedule will feature 28 total matches against its 13 fellow Western Conference clubs: one (1) home and one (1) away match against every other Western Conference team, except for in-state rivals FC Dallas and Houston Dynamo FC, whom Austin FC will face three (3) times each. The 2023 MLS regular season will conclude on Decision Day, October 21, when Austin will play San Jose Earthquakes at PayPal Park. More details on the Audi 2023 MLS Cup Playoffs will be announced at a later date.

Austin FC will play six (6) inter-conference matches against Eastern Conference opponents in 2023, three (3) at home and three (3) on the road. The Verde & Black will host CF Montréal, Toronto FC (Sunday, May 20) and D.C. United (Wednesday, October 4) at Q2 Stadium for Montréal and D.C.'s first-ever visits to Austin and Austin FC's first-ever match vs. Toronto FC. Austin FC will travel to play Inter Miami CF (Saturday, July 1), New England Revolution (Saturday, September 2) for the first-ever matchup between the clubs, and New York Red Bulls (Wednesday, September 20).

In total, Austin FC will play three (3) opponents for the first time in Club history: St. Louis CITY SC, Toronto FC, and New England Revolution. At the conclusion of the 2023 MLS regular season, Austin FC will have played at least one (1) regular season match against all MLS clubs apart from three (3) teams: Chicago Fire FC, New York City Football Club, and Philadelphia Union.

The Club's 2023 MLS regular season schedule features: seven (7) Wednesday matches, 24 Saturday matches, and three (3) Sunday matches. Austin FC will play one (1) MLS regular season match in February, four (4) each in March and April, six (6) in May, four (4) each in June and July, three (3) in August, five (5) in September, and three (3) in October.

All Austin FC regular season matches will be available to watch via MLS Season Pass on Apple TV with no regional blackouts or restrictions. All Austin FC Season Ticket accounts receive one subscription to MLS Season Pass for free as a feature of their season ticket membership. MLS Season Pass subscriptions begin on February 1, 2023. Four (4) Austin FC regular season matches in 2023 will feature a simulcast on linear national television and MLS Season Pass. The Club's home matches at Q2 Stadium against Portland Timbers on Sunday, September 17 (7:30 p.m. CT, FS1/FOX Deportes) and LA Galaxy on Sunday, September 24 (8:30 p.m. CT, FS1/FOX Deportes) will be broadcast nationally, as well as away matches against Los Angeles FC on Saturday, April 8 (6:30 p.m. CT, FOX/FOX Deportes) and St. Louis CITY SC on Sunday, August 20 (8:30 p.m. CT, FS1/FOX Deportes).

Austin FC sold out all 36 MLS home matches during the 2021 and 2022 seasons, the league's longest-active sellout streak with an average attendance of 20,738. With tickets in high demand, fans interested in attending Austin FC home matches are encouraged to join the ‚ 2023 Waitlist Membership,which will provide pre-sale access for single match tickets to ‚ regular season MLS home matches for the 2023 season on Wednesday, December 21 at 10 a.m. CT. Single match tickets go on-sale to the public on Thursday, December 22 at 10 a.m. CT.

Looking Back

Austin FC had a historic 2022 season, finishing in second place in the MLS Western Conference and tying the league record for the largest points improvement by a second-year expansion team (+25). Austin also became only the third MLS team to advance through its first two rounds of postseason play in club history, defeating Real Salt Lake and FC Dallas to reach the Western Conference Final. The Club qualified for the 2023 Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League by way of its fourth-place finish in the Supporters' Shield Standings.
