In the top of the third inning of the Round Rock Express' August 12 game against the Tulsa Drillers, one of five lucky fans will have the chance to win $1 million.
In the finals of the Nolan Ryan Borden Kid Builder Ice Cream Million Dollar Pitch Contest, the chosen fan will have the opportunity to throw a baseball from the pitcher's mound through a cutout section of a cardboard catcher. If the ball goes through the hole, the fan will win a $1 million annuity.
Before the game, a drawing will take place to determine the finalist. The semifinalists are: Lonnie Brown, Ryan Ellend and Tommy Elliot of Austin and Ian Jones and Tommy McRoberts of Round Rock.
