Owen Sound Attack News Release

The Owen Sound Attack are set to kick off three games in three nights when they head to Barrie for a matchup with the Colts on Thursday night.

The 7:30pm puck drop at the Barrie Molson Centre marks the final lead up to the Attack's annual Bears In Blue game on Saturday, Nov. 28.

Before the Attack can host the London Knights in Saturday's men's cancer fundraiser though, they must deal with the Colts before travelling to London for a Friday night tilt at Budweiser Gardens.

Owen Sound enters the weekend riding high off of their biggest road victory of the year, a 3-1 win over the Windsor Spitfires last Saturday.

The win over Windsor was just the Attack's 3rd road victory of the year, but improved the 4th place team in the Midwest Division to a record of 11-7-3-1 on the year, good for 26 points.

Barrie leads the East Division with 30 points on the season thanks to their 15-7-0 record and is riding a three game winning streak coming in to Thursday's action.

Attack defenceman Santino Centorame continues to lead the Owen Sound in scoring, having registered 18 points in 22 games played on the year, while overagers Josh Sterk and Bryson Cianfrone have come on as of late and are sitting at 17 and 15 points respectively.

The Colts are led by a pair of 30 point scorers through the season's first 22 games with Kevin Labanc and Andrew Mangiapane having 37 and 31 points respectively.

Thursday's action will also be a reunion for CHL Canada Russia Series teammates with Attack netminder Michael McNiven and Barrie goalkeeper Mackenzie Blackwood squaring off against each other. McNiven backed up Blackwood in the Team OHL vs Russia showdown at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre, and the two goalies come into Thursday night both sitting top 3 in goals against average and save percentage.

The Attack will then head to London on Friday night for a Midwest Division battle against the Knights. The two teams have split this season's first two match ups and the Knights currently sit six points ahead of Owen Sound in the standings.

Puck drop in London is also set for 7:30pm and both of the Attack's road games this week can be viewed live on Rogers Local 53 or listened to live on 560 CFOS Terry's Trailer Service Kia of Owen Sound Bear Radio.

Tickets for Saturday night's Bears In Blue are limited, but can be purchased at the DJ's Furniture Attack Box Office or by calling 519-371-7452.

Fans are reminded of Saturday's in-game silent auction to benefit the Canadian Cancer Society and the post-game live jersey auction, also in benefit of the CCS.

The Weekend Preview is presented by Joe Tomato's, located next to the Galaxy Cinemas on the Sunset Strip. Attack fans can bring their ticket stubs in to Joe Tomato's after every game to enjoy half off wings and appetizers.
