
Bulldogs Fall 7-1 to Battalion

NORTH BAY, ONT. - The North Bay Battalion (10-10-1-1) skated to a 7-1 win over the Hamilton Bulldogs (8-15-1-0) at the Memorial Gardens on Thursday night.
The scoring did not start until the last minute of the first period when Mike Amadio sent a shot towards the Hamilton net that deflected off of Daniil Vertiy on the power play at 19:08.
North Bay would waste no time in the second period when they opened the lead up to 2-0 when Amadio this time finished it himself just 21 seconds into the period. The short-handed goal was his 13th of the season.
The 'Dogs pulled within one as Ben Gleason guided a point shot through traffic at 11:14. Michael Cramarossa and Mason Marchment picked up the assists on Gleasons 5th of the year.
At that point the Battalion opened the faucet scoring four times before the end of the second period. Max Kislinger led the way with a pair of goals while Amadio added an assist to his impressive night for North Bay.
Just one more goal in the third period was scored for the Battalion as Brett McKenzie netted his 8th of the year just 1:19 into the final frame.
The Bulldogs are back in action tomorrow night when they visit the Sudbury Wolves at 7:00 p.m. Hamilton then wraps up their 3 games in 3 nights weekend with a home game against the Mississauga Steelheads on Saturday. Puck drop is 7:00 p.m.
