 Owen Sound Attack

Attack Face Home and Home with Sting

March 15, 2013 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Owen Sound Attack News Release

The Owen Sound Attack very well may finish off the regular season against the very same team they play in the first round of the OHL playoffs. The Attack will have a home and home against the Sarnia Sting on Friday and Saturday night, which will go a long way in determining the Sting's final position. As of right now, the Sting trail the Soo Greyhounds by one point for 6th place in the Western Conference. The Sting has two games remaining against the Attack, while the Greyhounds will tangle with the Kitchener Rangers and London Knights. London has clinched first overall while the Rangers just need one point to clinch 4th.

Head Coach Greg Ireland may elect to rest some of his players this weekend, however; Daniel Catenacci is two goals away from 40 on the season while Cody Ceci and Zach Nastasiuk both sit at 19.

Saturday evening, 560 CFOS and Terry's Trailer Service will be having the "60 Minutes of Madness". If the Attack score 1 goal, 1 person wins the whole jackpot! 2 goals = 2 people split it, 3 goal = 3 people split the pot and so on! The more goals scored, the more winners there will be! If there are NO goals scored by the Attack...we'll draw from everyone in attendance to find out the winner of the whole $1904 jackpot!

The Scoop on the Sting - The Sting have several lethal weapons they can throw at you. The Sting have three players in their line-up that have twenty or more goals, including 62 goal scorer, Reid Boucher. The Sting also have dynamic import, Nikolay Goldobin who has 29 goals and OHL points leader, Charles Sarault who has 84 assists. A familiar face is between the pipes for the Sting as JP Anderson will likely get the start in goal.

Standing room tickets for Saturday nights game are available at the Attack Box Office. Tickets for the post game St. Patrick's Day Dance are also available at the Attack Office. Proceeds from Ticket Sales go to support the Canadian Cancer Society and 92.3 The Dock's Radio for Radiology.

Game time on Friday is 7:05pm while the action gets underway on Saturday at 7:30pm.
